Willie Swan Morgan, age 89, passed away June 20, 2021. She dedicated her life to supporting her husband and raising her children as well as passing on her fierce love of family. She was a member of Fountain City United Methodist Church. Her bright smile and mischievous personality would light up a room. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Willie is preceded in death by her husband Jesse “JB” Bryon Morgan Jr.; her parents, Joseph Harvey Swan and Hattie Cable Swan; sister and brothers, Helen Greene, Robert Harold Swan, Ralph Swan and James Swan. She is survived by her sister Ruby Scates; children, Sandy Morgan, Jeff (Rene)Morgan and Susan (Andrew) Crawley; grandchildren, Brandi (Kenny) Smith, Morgan (Zachary) Files, Josh (Charlotte) Morgan, Johnny (Casie) Morgan and Jordan Crawley; great grandchildren, Kierstin Parson and Jaxson Morgan as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, Glenwood NC school classmates and friends.
Willie was a high school basketball player, voted “Cutest” and worked summers in Cherokee, North Carolina. She loved painting, sewing and crafting as well as travelling, playing on the bowling league and walking in the woods. She enjoyed her garden club and acting as a hostess on the Dogwood Arts Trail. She never met a stranger and had the ability to find fun in everything she did.
A Graveside Service will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, June 23rd at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery, Knoxville TN.
