Shirley Elizabeth Bailey

Shirley Elizabeth Bailey, age 83 of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on November 15, 2023. She was born February 16, 1940 and graduated from White Pine High School. She worked as a cashier in several convenience stores, including Family Pantry and Weigel’s. She loved her flowers and plants and she loved collecting dolls.

Shirley is preceded in death by parents, George & Emma Ward; brothers, Kenneth, Roger, and Calvin Ward.

She is survived by husband of 63 years, Paul E. Bailey; daughter, Regina (Ken) Everett; son, Jeff (Cindi) Bailey; 4 grandchildren, Brad (Carrie) Everett, Cory (Becky) Everett, Jessica Bailey, and Joe Bailey; 4 great grandchildren, Logan, Caroline, Wyatt, and Lily Everett.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Home Services.

A service will be held at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church (235 E. Copeland Road, Powell, TN) on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 11:00am. A visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am prior to the service. Reverend Teresa Atkins McClure officiating.

Interment will be private for immediate family only.
