Robert "Rob" Koson

Robert “Rob” Allen Koson, age 50, passed away unexpectedly in his home on May 17, 2021. Rob was born to parents Allen “Al” and Phyllis Koson (Balthaser) on November 23, 1970 in Cleveland, Ohio, and spent most of his life living between there and Knoxville, Tennessee. After earning his GED, Rob went on to spend most of his career in places where he could meet new people and establish lasting relationships with them. From waiting tables to provide for his family, to maintenance work to learn how to support and fix things for himself, he always did everything with a smile and would be happy with nothing but a smile in return. He was very comedic, and he loved to do things to make others laugh, even if it meant embarrassing himself in the process. He loved God, and he loved his family, friends, and those he had yet to meet. Rob is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Koson (Bernes), and his father, Al Koson. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Koson, his three sons, Allen Koson (Becky, Matthew, Alana), Aaron Koson, and Adam Koson; siblings, Kim Koson, Teri Madison (Keith), Debra Brown (Robert), Sheryl Koson, and Brian Koson and a myriad of other relatives and friends.

"Rob was an unforgettable father, a beloved husband, an exceptional son, a caring and thoughtful brother, a selfless grandpa, and an all around amazing person to anyone he knew."  He will always be remembered by his family and friends. As we remember Rob, there’s one thing he wouldn’t ever want anyone to forget: “God’s got this"

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, June 5th, 2021 PM ET at Parkview Senior Living (975 E Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938).
