Raymond Bellgrau Obituary

Raymond “Ray” Anthony Bellgrau, age 65, of Maryville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. He was born on April 27, 1955 in Nashville, TN. Ray attended Martin Methodist College where he received an associates of arts degree in speech and theater. He was the son of Raymond and Julie Bellgrau and brother to Sandy Bell. He married his wife, Carol Sterling Bellgrau, of 37 years, on May 28th, 1983 in Hendersonville, TN. His career started at Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN working in their audio/visual department. He later spent many years of his career working for Deroyal Industries as their trade show coordinator. Additionally, Ray also spent many years in the food service industry. When not working, Ray volunteered his time helping with audio/visual support for his churches over the years and his wife's school concerts. When he was not working or volunteering his time, Ray enjoyed spending time camping and traveling with his family. He also enjoyed collecting various pieces of Mickey Mouse and Disney collectables and memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Sterling Bellgrau; son, Robert Ellis Bellgrau; sister, Sandy Bell; in-laws, David Sterling, Rob Sterling (Nancy) and Jeanette Jensen (Tom). He is also survived by many nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Julie Bellgrau.

The family will host a graveside service on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Fountain City United Methodist Church Cemetery. Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Bellgrau family and invites you to view and sign the online registry.
