Paul Harold Eidson

Paul Harold Eidson, 75, born May 3, 1946, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and V.L. (Pud) Eidson; and his brother, Richard David Eidson.

He is survived by cousins, Mary and Joe Rose, Joseph and Heather McMahan Rose, Laura Yates Emerson, Mark Yates, Joe Yates, Frank Mattocks, Denise Mattocks, Bill Eidson, and Susie Moore.

Paul was President of CHS Class of 1964, top football and basketball athlete. He was a teammate of Steve Spurrier at the University of Florida. He had a tragic fall at a construction site when he was 21 years old. Despite this and other obstacles, Paul always greeted everyone with a big smile and funny, one-line quips. He was truly an inspiration to all who knew him. A service will be held 1:00pm Friday, April 8, 2022 at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held 3:00pm the same day at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Joe Rose will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers, a gift in Paul’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
