Paul David Dinkins peacefully passed away Saturday on October 1, 2022 in Murfreesboro, TN. He was 89 years old.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Doris Ann (Nelson) Dinkins and grandson, Nicholas Brandon Collins and parents, Wallace and Velma (Brooks) Dinkins.
He was a Korean war veteran and a member of Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church. He had a joyful personality and never met a stranger!
He will be sorely missed. He leaves behind a son, Tom (Jackie) Dinkins of Murfreesboro, and a daughter, Angie (Jason) Terry of Knoxville. He also leaves, to cherish his memory, granddaughters, Jennifer (Brandon) Felder, Sarah (Erin) Hough, and Katelyn (Joshua) McCreery. Great grandchildren, Isaiah and Brynlee Felder and Scarlett, Piper and Finn Hough. Beloved nephew, Doug (Tabitha) Nelson of Woodbury, TN who were always there to lend a helping hand.
Visitation will be Friday, October 7,2022 at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel from 12:00pm-2:00pm.
A graveside service will be held the same day at 3:00pm at Lynnhurst cemetery, Knoxville, TN. with Rev. Dennis Loy, officiating.
