Patricia Tipton Acuff

Patricia Ann Tipton Acuff, age 79, of Knoxville, was called home on March 13, 2023. Patty was a member of First Presbyterian Church in the heart of downtown Knoxville. She enjoyed working outside with her flowers and was passionate about decorating. Patty graduated from East High School Class of 1961 and Knoxville Business College. She was employed by Hunter Douglas and Lafayette Interior Fashions as a traveling manufacturers representative selling custom window treatments. She also worked for the Knox County Register of Deeds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dot and Benny Tipton; husband, Ray Acuff, Jr, owner of Ray Acuff’s Town & Country Restaurant; and daughter, Debra (Debbie) Renee Acuff.

She is survived by daughter, Denise Michelle Acuff Carmon; grandson, Clay McCoy and his wife, Colleen; great grandsons, Zeek and Tipton; granddaughter, Rayma McCoy McGhehee and husband, Greg; great grandson, Peyton; great granddaughter, Mia; sister, Benita Tipton Hill and husband, Barry (deceased) and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 18,2023 at 12:00 noon with a brief celebration of life reception to follow at the First Presbyterian Church, 620 State Street, Knoxville, Tennessee.
