Norman Ross Jones

Norman Ross Jones – 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in 1945 to Darrell Zell Jones and Martha Mildred Ross Jones in Portsmouth, Virginia. Norm attended Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia and graduated from NC State University in 1968 with a degree in Engineering Operations. He married the love of his life, Melissa Ann Murray in 1969 in Raleigh, NC. Norm was employed by Reynolds Aluminum Company, the United States Air Force and retired from Scott Paper Company. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Melissa Ann Jones; daughter, Heather (Ryan) McCrillis and grandson, Jared; son, Ross (Stephanie) Jones and grandchildren, Wesley, Sam, and Lake; son, Aaron (Beth) Jones and grandchildren, Nate, Anna, Avery and a baby girl on the way; and brother-in-law Robert (Karon) Murray of Wilmington, NC. Norm was the best husband, father, and grandfather (Nanny) in the world. He loved his family with his whole heart, but his deepest love was for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Trinity Community Church, 6706 Central Avenue Pike, Knoxville, TN 37912 on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 6:30 PM.
