Nancy Jane (Harper) Mauldin

Nancy Jane Harper Mauldin, 78, of Knoxville.  In the presence of loving family, Nancy departed this life to her Heavenly reward on September 21, 2021, at Sacred Ground Hospice House.  She was loved beyond measure as the best big sister ever, the most precious mom, most loving and caring Nanny, awesome Aunt Nancy, wonderful cousin and friend.  Her life’s work was raising her two sons and later as a free-lance court reporter. 

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Walter E. and Mildred Harper and her brother, Walter E. Harper Jr. 

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her sons, Michael (Deborah) and Mark (Whitney); her sister, Mick Doane (Harvey); grandchildren, Garrett & Olivia Mauldin, Kinsley Cox; great-granddaughter, Kapri Faith Chigano; very special nieces, Bicki Rudd & Katie Long; several great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 26 2021, from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Gentry-Griffey Funeral Chapel.  A short service will follow, family friend Joe Lee officiating.  There will be a short graveside service Monday, September 27, 2021 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Cemetery. 

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Sacred Ground Hospice House for their love and care of Nancy over the past few weeks.
