Mary Alice Sims Huffaker

Mary Alice Sims Huffaker left this present time and place on April 6, 2021. Born to Almon J. and Sammie Clark Sims on January 25, 1931 in Knoxville, TN. She was the fifth of six children - brothers A.J., Jr., Bill, and Frank; and sisters Anne Hobt Payne and Jane Rathbun. All have preceded her in death. Mary leaves her companion of seventy years, husband James Huffaker; four children - Donna Diaz (Orlando), Lauren Tweeton (Stuart), Callie Word (Frank), and Michael Huffaker (Davilyn). Others she has loved and leaves, both near and far, include sister-in-law Mary Ruth Huffaker; six grandchildren - Shea Diaz, Ally Diaz, Caroline Tweeton, Chris Tweeton, Rachel Word, and Eiley Huffaker; numerous cousins, and several nieces and nephews. She trusts that all will remember her in their own way, and all are asked to remember the good times and forget the rest; there are no perfect times, only perfect moments. At Mary’s request, there are no formal services or visitation. The family will gather for a time of remembrance at a later date.
