Linda M. Martin

Linda Mountain Martin, 70, a lifelong resident of Knoxville, TN, passed peacefully in her sleep from this earth into her Heavenly home on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Linda was a talented vocalist and dedicated much of her life to music, from singing in various choirs and bands to competing and winning the title of Miss Knoxville 1969. She loved cooking, gardening, watching classic movies, volunteering at church, and spending time with family & friends, especially at the lake or beach.

Linda is survived by two beloved sons (both of Knoxville, TN) & their families, Mike Oakes (Tara) and Dylan Martin (Kendall) and two beautiful granddaughters who were her world, Emerson and Linden Martin. She also leaves behind a large community of dear friends from Central High School, Whittle Communications, St. Paul UMC, & OneLife Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, O.B. “Bud” Martin Jr (deceased 2014), and her parents, Arnold T & Mary R Mountain.

Due to continuing concerns associated with the COVID19 pandemic, no public services will be held at this time. Condolences and happy memories may be shared on the memorial page established by Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
