Linda Hunter went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 13. Linda loved the Lord and had great peace about going to see Him. She very much looked forward to reuniting with her daughter Kim who preceded her in death. Linda was devoted to God, to her husband John, her only child Kim and her grandson Hunter. She loved their grandson and along with John helped their son-in-law, Michael, care for Hunter after Kim left for her eternal life. Linda’s devotion to God directed her to become a group leader with Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) where she cared for the ladies she led as if they were her own family. Linda always told John that she learned as much from the ladies in her group as they learned from her. Linda’s passion for God and her family was nearly matched by her passion for Bible Study Fellowship and for gardening. After her retirement, Linda became a Master Gardener through the Tennessee Extension Master Gardener Program. Linda spent many hours in the yard working on landscaping and gardening where she felt closer to God and found peace.
Linda is survived by her husband, John; her grandson, Hunter; her son-in-law, Michael; aunt, Joy Davidson; sister, Pat Carroll and nephews, Leon Carroll, Jr. and Chris Carroll; her sister, Billie Cooke and nephew, Ben Cooke and niece, Claire Austin; her sister-in-law, Alice Townes and husband, Barry Townes; among others in her extended family who she loved. The family would like to say a special thank you to Linda’s friend, Carole Wilson who spent much time by her side and to the ladies of BSF who also cared for Linda and the family the past 2 months.
