Lee Strange – passed away on June 17, 2022, at the age of 88 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Lee was born on January 29, 1934, and proudly served his country in the United States Army and in the Honor Guard. He started with TVA as a student in 1962 and worked until his retirement in 1994 as a Regional Hydro Manager. Lee was a member of First Baptist Concord since 1965. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Lee loved to camp and travel, especially trips to Alaska, which he and his wife visited three times.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Lee Robinson; parents, Maree Strange and Wilfred Strange; sister, Maree Bridges; and brother, Joe Strange.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara Dunlap Strange; son, Jerry Strange (Lori Strange); daughter, Sharon Strange Booth; granddaughters, Jessica Ann Strange and Alex Booth Taylor (Ryan Taylor); sister-in-law, Judy Dunlap Worthington (Darrell Worthington); beloved niece, Tracie Worthington Gilmore and her son, Grayson; nephew, Brandon Worthington (Hannah Worthington); sister-in-law, Pam Strange; and many other nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 1 :00 – 3:00 PM at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel with a Celebration of Life Service honoring and remembering Lee at 3:00 PM.
