Larry Starkey Obituary

Larry Dean Starkey, age 65 of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on January 7, 2023. He was born in Knoxville and graduated from Fulton High School, class of 1975. Larry retired from being a salesman.

He is preceded in death by father, Jackie Austin Starkey; mother, Charlotte Patricia (Turner) Starkey; grandparents, Howard Lee Starkey, Agnes (Roach-King-Starkey) Lewis, Rev. Esker Turner & Eva Mae (Gibbs) Turner; uncle, Fred Turner.

Larry is survived by, fiancé, Rose Pilcher; brother, Howard Starkey’ sister, Lisa (Starkey) Moore (Darryl); nieces, Chelsea Starkey, Caitlin Moore, and Brittany (Moore) Ritter (Chad); nephew, Chase Starkey; aunts, Freda (James) Lucas and Vivian Warren; uncle, Sonny (Karen) Turner; numerous cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at Fort Sanders cardiovascular ICU for all their care.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00pm on January 27, 2023, at Central Church of God (4721 Papermill Dr. NW Knoxville, TN 37909). Rev. James Dunn and Rev. Jack Dean will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Central Church of God.
