Obituary
Judith (Judy) Ann Gideon born July 7, 1948, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 19, 2023. She passed at Jefferson Memorial Hospital where she had previously worked prior to her stroke and subsequent retirement. She enjoyed watching Yellowstone, reading, quilting, cooking, and watching the cows from her porch at her home in Jefferson County.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Ed Wells; mother, Thelma Williams Smith; siblings, Glen Earl Wells & Shirley Davis; son, Steven Gideon.
She is survived by her children, Mike (Destinee) Gideon, Dwayne (Veronica) Gideon, Chet Gideon, Missy (Chip) Brown & Pamela (Tommy) Balaszi; siblings, Teresa (David) Wilburn & David (Judy) Smith; grandchildren & great-grandchildren, Sarah (Allan) & Finley Burris, Mason Gideon, Maria (Tyler) Archie & Ollie Sherrod, Christine & Emilio Garner, Vanessa Gideon, Sandra (Garrett) & Adria Cox, Chad Gideon, Shaine (Martha) & Eliana Gideon, Hannah Brown, Hailey (Anthony) Gideon, Dawson, Ryker & Skyla Parker; special cousins, Mike, Pam & Mark Busher; special friend, Ruby (Nanna) Sandifer and many nieces & nephews.
A private family service was held at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel.
