Juan Antonio Cruz

Juan Antonio Cruz, age 67 of Cookville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

He was born in Honduras and found joy as a self-employed handyman.

In his spare time, Juan enjoyed reading and studying the bible, and tinkering with electronics and radios.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo Cruz and Paula Bustillo; sisters, Leticia Cruz Bustillo and Carmen Marixa Cruz Bustillo; brother, Lorenzo Cruz-Bustillo.

He is survived by and leaves behind his wife, Lydia Margarita Ramirez; daughters, Grisel Margarita Ramirez and Ilse Johana Cruz; son, Javier Antonio Cruz.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Ramchandren and his staff at the UT Cancer Center and Dr. Battiwalla and his team at the Sara Cannon Center for Blood Cancer for their care and compassion.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 11:00am – 1:00pm with a funeral service to follow at Gentry-Griffey Funeral Chapel and Crematory (5301 Fountain Rd, Knoxville, TN 37918)

The family will then meet at 3:00pm for a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery (3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918).
