Jeannie Clark Obituary

Knoxville – Jeannie Kidd Clark, beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and niece, passed away January 17, 2022 from complications of diabetes.  She is survived by her husband and best friend, Frank Clark.  Jeannie was born on November 12, 1968 to Kenton and Rebecca Hassell Kidd.  She graduated from Powell High School in 1986.

As a young person, Jeannie studied piano and violin.  For many years, raising dogs and working in her flower garden brought her great joy and satisfaction.

Jeannie was preceded in death by grandparents: Scottie and Veda Kidd and Carroll and Grace Hassell.  She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Frank Clark; parents, Kenton and Rebecca Hassell Kidd; brother, Thom Kidd (Courtenay); Aunts: Mary Arms, Diane O’Brien, and Denise Kidd; Uncle, Joe Hassell; Great Aunt, Katheryn O. Howard; Nieces: Xanna Kidd Griffin (Mitchell) and Lindy Kidd; Nephew, Aaron Kidd; Great Nephew, Aidan Griffin; beloved pet, Pharoh; and numerous cousins.

Jeannie was a member of Second United Methodist Church where a celebration of life and memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 30 at 3:00 with the Rev. Charla Sherbakoff and the Rev. Dennis Loy officiating.  Masks and social distancing will be required.

Throughout her life, Jeannie was vivacious and the life of every party.  Even during dialysis appointments, everyone knew about Jeannie, her blindness and remarkable sense of humor.  That upbeat mood overshadowed her many health problems.  Jeannie’s big smile and ready laugh will live forever in the hearts of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second United Methodist Church; The American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116 or diabetes.org (Donations will come back to Knoxville.); National Federation of the Blind, 7450 Chapman Hwy. Knoxville, TN 37920.

The family wishes to express thanks to Sandy, Rocky and Geneva at the Fort Sanders Dialysis Center for their excellent care of Jeannie.
