Obituary
J. Marcella (Wharton) Langley, aged 52 of Knoxville, TN, lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, May 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Wharton Sr and J. Carolyn Cardwell, and her infant son, Donnie Ray Langley Jr. She is survived by her son, T.J. Carey and his wife, Amanda, and her daughter, Amanda Carey and her partner, Nina Rouse, and three beautiful grandchildren that she adored, J, Mason, and Emee Carey. She is also survived by her two sisters, Lori Cochran and her husband, Johnny, and Sheri Eastridge and her husband, Eric, and her brother, Jerry Sherman Wharton II and his wife, Nikki, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews. Family meant everything to Marcella. She was a kind and generous person who perfected the art of seeing the best in everyone. She is dearly missed.
