Gregory Jean Fischer, age 76 of Sevierville, Tennessee passed away at his home on Thursday, November 4, 2021. He was born in Chaffey, NY in 1945. He attended Franklin High School and graduated in 1963.
Gregory served his country by pursuing a career in the Marines and Army National Guard. He won many awards that include: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, USMC Good Conduct, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Naval Unit Commendation, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign, Tennessee National Guard Individual Achievement Ribbon, and Tennessee National Guard Outstanding Unit Performance Commendation.
Gregory was a carpenter. He also liked gardening, fixing cars, and spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
He is preceded in death by wife, Mary Ann Fischer; daughter, Nancy Fischer; brothers, Herb and Roger Fischer.
He is survived by daughter, Mary Kay Fischer; grandkids, Taylor Cole, Ethan Cole, Emily Fischer-DeLarm, Jacob McGill, and Blake Clinton; great grandkids, Jada Beckler, Kyle Cole, McKinley Cole, Creed Cole, and Michael DeLarm; grandson-in-law, Ryan DeLarm.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gregory’s best friend, Philip Maples, Dwight Henry, American Legion, and the VA.
The family will not be having a service since that is what Gregory wanted.
