Gail Kelly Buckner Rone

Gail Kelly Smith Buckner Rone (84), Knoxville, TN, peacefully entered her eternal home on April 23, 2021.

Preceded in death by husband Wendall Rone, son Steve Buckner, sister Brenda Nichols, and mother Virginia Thompson Smith, and father Frank Emitte Smith.

Survived by sons Mike Buckner (Kellie), John Buckner (Jennifer), and Doug Buckner; granddaughters Jenna Buckner, Joli Buckner, and Jordan Catchot all of Knoxville, TN; brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Anne Smith of Georgetown, TX; beloved cousin Donna Schank; numerous adored cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 5pm to 7pm at the Moose Lodge, 6903 Mundal Road, Knoxville, TN.  Family and friends are invited to join a gathering of joy in remembering Gail collectively and celebrate a life well lived. We will raise a toast and share a few minutes of reflection by family/friends beginning at 7pm. If unable to attend, you may also sign the guestbook on the Gentry Griffey website.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Young Williams Animal Center, Knoxville, Tennessee.
