Elizabeth "Libby" Horton

Elizabeth "Libby" Horton, age 87, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Windsor Ridge Assisted Living.

Libby knew the Lord and was of the Baptist faith.

She is proceeded in death by her special friend, Charles Jones; father and mother, Dewey and Rebba Horton; sisters, Helen Parker and Jessie "Boots" Bowman; brother, Dewey Horton. 

She is survived by her nephew, John (Patsy) Bowman; nieces, Gale and Noreen; great niece, Angela Bowman, along with several other great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Windsor Ridge Assisted Living and UT Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Libby.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Gentry-Griffey Funeral Chapel and Crematory (5301 Fountain Rd Knoxville, TN 37918). The family will gather on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 3:00pm for a graveside service honoring the life of Libby at Lynnhurst Cemetery (2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918).
