Donna Faye (Brandt) Lassmann

Donna Faye (Brandt) Lassmann, mother of three children, passed away on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023.

Donna was born on February 9th, 1950 in Cuero, Texas to Alonzo and Gladys (Weiss) Brandt. She is preceded in death by her parents, three siblings Sandy Estes, Jody Tanner, and Laura Brandt. Donna is survived by her children Melvin "Buddy" Lassmann Jr. (Tracy), Lisa St. Clair (John), and Stacie Jameson. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Sheldon Lassmann, Kortney Wise, Hayden St. Clair, Brody Lassmann, and Alyssa St. Clair; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family held a special place in her heart, and for the past two decades, she devoted herself as a loving caregiver to her granddaughter, Kortney Wise.

Donna had a deep love for animals and a passion for learning. She generously donated to many different charities as well as the local food bank as she felt obligated to give back to those in need. Her kindness and genuine curiosity touched all who knew her. She spent much of her final years developing a detailed family tree tracking her family genealogy back centuries. We'll cherish the memories and the knowledge she shared with us.

She shared a profound connection with Jim Reed, often described as her soulmate. Though they never married, their love and unwavering support for each other were undeniable. They stood together through life's ups and downs, serving as an inspiring example of enduring love and friendship.

Donna's wishes were for a quiet and personal farewell, so there will be no formal funeral service. Instead, she kindly requested to honor her memory by celebrating her life and cherishing the moments shared with her.
