David L. Mize

David L. Mize, age 44 of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday August 25, 2021. David was born on March 1, 1977, and later went on to attend Bearden High School. He was a uniquely talented and hard-working landscaper. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting, thrifting, movies, and music.

David is preceded in death by his mother, Karen Mize Hale; his papaw, Luther David Mize and mamaw, Gladys Gibbs Jones.

David leaves behind his beloved daughter, Alexis Mize (Lexington McCamis); his nanny, Patricia Mize; brother, Matthew Hale; sister, Shannon Hale (Christian Owens); Uncle, Scott Mize (Debora Mize); Aunts, Jody Washington (Charles Washington), and Kimberly Neely (Rick); Cousin, Jason Goolsby. He also leaves behind numerous cousins and friends.

The family will have a private family viewing at Gentry-Griffey Funeral Chapel. A public graveside service will be held at Highland Memorial Park (5315 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919) on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 1:00pm. Rev. Bob St. John will be officiating.
