Obituary
Dale Allen Taylor “Butch”, age 75 of Powell, TN passed away at home on August 20th, 2023. Butch was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Pauline Taylor, son Scott Taylor, and son-in-law Rusty Gordon. He is survived by his loving wife Brenda Taylor, his daughters Kim (Jason) Melton and Tammy Gordon, sister Carol (Kenny) McCroskey, grandchildren Haley (Patrick) Smith, Caleb (Chesney) Melton, and Isabella Gordon, great-grandchild Kaylee Melton, and many nieces and nephews including Julie (Shane) Weaver and family and Joe McCroskey and family. We would like to recognize Joe McCroskey for all his help in Butch’s last days.
Butch was a highly decorated Marine whom after graduating from Rule High School volunteered for service in Vietnam. He was a diehard sports fan who enjoyed having a garden, riding his motorcycle, and feeding his little platoon of raccoons. He will be laid to rest at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
