Cary Faye Lockhart Roop, age 87, of Knoxville, passed away January 14, 2021 from complications due to a stroke. She was born December 8, 1933 to the late Carl F. Lockhart and Rosa Lee Burkhart. She was comforted throughout life by her family and her daily Bible readings.
Faye is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Kenneth; son, Dwight; daughter, Cheri (Tina McMillan); and grandson Stephen (all of Knoxville); grandson, Wesley Roop (Tiffany) and great-grandson, Heath (of Wartburg); sisters, Wilma Spears of Knoxville and Lucille Dockery of Morristown; and her devoted, adoring dog, Romeo. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Lockhart of Seymour, and her sister, Aileen Stroud of Knoxville.
Because of the heath risks of covid-19 the family is not planning a service at this time. They hope sometime in the future to have a gathering to celebrate Faye's life and share memories of her. If you would like to be notified of the date, once it has been decided on, please contact Cheri @ 865/805-1439 or ravenwood7600@aol.com
Gentry Griffey is honored to serve the Roop family and invites you to view and sign the online registry.
