Obituary
Carshel A. “Carl” Ward, age 83 of Strawberry Plains, TN, passed away on August 15, 2023, at home surrounded by his wife of fifty years, Mary Nell and his loving sister, “Sis”.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Carbon and Sarah Ward; sisters, Linda Hall and Helen Ryan; along with his grandson, Josh Ward.
Carl is survived by his wife, Mary Nell; sons, Dale and Chip Ward; daughter, Carla (Keith) Tipton; stepson, Roy (Jennifer) Taylor; his loving sister and caregiver, Virginia “Sis” Ward. He also leaves behind four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Special thanks are given to the dedicated nurses of Smokey Mountain Hospice.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
