Betty Brown Pride

Betty Brown Pride, age 89, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

Betty grew up in Knoxville and attended Central High School. later, she went on to Tusculum University and earned her bachelor's degree. She worked for Robertshaw of Knoxville most her working career. She is a long term member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City. Betty loved to travel, shop and spend time with her family. She especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and her dog, Puddin. 

She is preceded in death by both of her husbands, Hammond Pride and Gene Clark; parents, John and Flossie Brown; sister, Anna Brown; brother, E.W. Brown. She is survived by and leaves behind her son, John Clark  (Melissa); daughter, Kendall Clark; grandchildren, Kara Cardwell (Ryan), Bradley Clark, and Brittney Clark; great-grandchild, Addie Cardwell. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to The Courtyards Senior Living and Hospice for their care and compassion they showed for Betty.

A graveside service honoring Betty's life and memory will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Berry Lynnhurst Cemetery (2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918)  with Pastor Franklin Eppinette officiating.
