Anna Lee Bayless Cox, born in Knoxville TN in 1931 died on November 20, 2022 in Kingsport TN.
Anna Lee graduated from Knoxville High School in 1948 and married her high school sweetheart Bill in 1952. She spent the next 20 years traveling the world as an Army Wife. She retired from the Federal Government in 1991 with 20 years of service, having worked for the FAA in Atlanta, US Attorney’s Office in Greenville, SC, and the IRS and the CIA in Knoxville.
Anna Lee was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, singing in the choir and playing handbells. She also volunteered at the Knoxville Museum of Art and the Farragut Folk Life Museum.
She was preceded in death by husband, William S Cox; parents, Fairy Belle Byers and Carter Calloway Bayless; sisters, Helen Cox McGill and Betty Cox Pate; brothers, Governeur Bayless, Gordon Bayless and Jay Bayless.
She is survived by daughter, Cathie Cox Faust of Kingsport; granddaughter, Elizabeth Faust of Knoxville; sister, Marion Bayless of Knoxville and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery for a 12:30pm graveside service. Larry Trotter from Concord United Methodist Church will officiate the service.
