John was a close friend to me as he was to many. We talked regularly whether it be on the radio or phone. I call it somewhere between a high honor and a rare privilege to call him my friend. Dorothy I will be praying for yall. John my friend, I sorely miss you. 73's N4QEA (SK) from KG4LIO we will take it from here.
I'm in shock over John's passing.. Always enjoyed working with him-- and hearing about all of his adventures with HAM radio and his delightful observations about the world we live in. John was a great man... Many prayers of comfort for his family. The world is now not as good as place without him.
I enjoyed working with John over the years at TEMA, EMS, and on amateur radio projects. We always got along well and enjoyed talking about family, radio, work, and our love of the outdoors. He was a true professional who was more of a friend than a colleague. His passing leaves a large void for many of us.

It was very sad to hear about John's sudden passing. I worked with John at TEMA for years. He had such varied interests and his communications work at TEMA and Health allowed him to enjoy the outdoors and work with many folks. He was outgoing, never meeting a stranger and we will miss him being in our lives.

So sorry. Everyone has lost a friend. Harrell Davidson, WD4LAR
John was a dedicated public servant and a valuable resource in preparing public safety professionals throughout the state with reliable radio communications. He was a consistent presence at many gatherings and his absence will be felt.
I am so sorry to learn about John. We sat together at Jim Green's service, and had a chance to catch up. He was so happy to show me pictures of his project in middle Tennessee. He was such a big help to me when I was getting ready to open my store in 1976. It is great to have friends that go over the years & certainly hard to lose them. I know you will treasure the pictures & videos that you have of John in happy times as well as those "Precious Memories" that were not captured on film. My hope is that it will be some comfort for you to know that others are hurting for you and with you.
LOVE AND PRAYERS,
