Marie Moses Craft passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2020 in Knoxville, TN. She was born May 4, 1930 in Hillsboro, Ohio and graduated from Hillsboro High School.  As a young woman she proudly loved her jobs at the Five and Dime Store in Hillsboro and then in Dayton, OH at the Lerners Department Store. Part of the family moved to Idaho in 1977 and there she continued to care for her invalid mother until her passing.  She was employed with the University of Idaho where she taught her clients the art of canning, baking and couponing. One of her greatest joys in Idaho was volunteering to help the elderly.  After moving to Knoxville in 1990, she delivered Meals on Wheels, making special desserts, checking on the elderly regularly along with sending them postcards when traveling.  She truly became their friends.  Her hobbies through the years were playing pool, bowling, dancing, bicycling, caring for pets, reading, blue ribbon winning baking and all kinds of card playing especially Bridge.  She loved to walk around the Fountain City Lake and feed the ducks.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years Mid Millard Dean Craft, her daughters; Rita Ann Caldwell, Tina Marie Bisbee Cripe, Rosemary Hinton (Kenneth); son, Venson Jacob Craft (Marcia); stepchildren; Robert Dean Craft, Teri Lynn Bacus (Harland) and Trudi Lee Craft.  She enjoyed her 3 grandchildren, Jasah Marie Cripe, Michael Aaron Caldwell and Zachary Jacob Craft.  She was the youngest of 4 children born to Joseph and Lulu Moses and preceded in death by her siblings; Rosemary McHarg (Jack), Joseph Moses (Betty) and Sara Rita Coldiron (Jim).  She also leaves behind several adoring and loving nieces and nephews.

She married Byron Wayne Bisbee in Dayton, Ohio and gave birth to 3 beautiful daughters and was widowed after 12 years.  Later her marriage to Mid Craft gave her the joy of the birth of her only son. With her increasing health limitations, he lovingly and attentively cared for her needs.

Marie was a member of the Halls Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her family and friends await the time of their reunion when Jesus resurrects her to a Paradise Earth to live forever as the Bible promises. Psalms 37:29 and John 5:28, 29.

Matt and Courtney Carrier on Feb 15, 2020

We are so sorry for your loss. I smile every time I remember our days in service together. Mid driving, Marie pointing out some fruit or flower growing on the side of the road~ tapping the glass, Rosemary and I giggling in the backseat. Those were good times spent with special people talking about the beauty of creation and our Kingdom hope. I can’t wait to see Marie when our hope is realized with her youthful vigor restored. What will she find to point out in paradise? Until that time, your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Ken and Kelly Kimball on Feb 13, 2020

That was a lovely account of your wonderful mother and wife. Ken and I are very sad, it doesn’t seem right she is gone, even knowing it is a short nap. We pray all of you, especially Mid, Rosemary and Venson, since we have so many memories of you and feel such a kinship with you. Our lives have been entwined. We are praying you can find some comfort in out loving God Jehovah whose heart is hurting too and longs to resurrect the “works of his hands.”— your wife and your mother, and our friend.

Chasity Owens on Feb 13, 2020

My precious Marie, I had the honor and privilege of knowing and caring for you for almost two years. You and your family became family to me. I will always treasure our talks while I did your hair and make up and you taking your precious lil hands and putting them to my face and saying I Love You Sweet Pea. My life was blessed the day God sent me to your house. It took us a couple of weeks to work out the kinks, but we fell in love after that. You will always and forever be in my heart. Until we meet again. RIP MY MARIE

Sending love to my dear family. Aunt Marie was so loved by her many nieces and nephews. I will always cherish memories of spending summer days with her and my cousins while growing up. We were fortunate to spend special time with her earlier this year. We didn’t think she would leave us so soon.
