Virl M. Huskey (Sign Guestbook)

Virl Marie Huskey, age 91 of Knoxville, passed away on September 21, 2017, after a short illness. Virl worked as a dental assistant in Maryville and also served faithfully as pianist at Oakland United Methodist Church before moving to Knoxville. She was a member of Fountain City United Methodist Church and the Christian Fellowship Sunday school class.

Virl was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Loy Huskey. She is survived by her son, Larry Huskey and wife Alta; grandsons, Brian Huskey and wife Jenny, Matt Huskey and wife Cindy; her much loved great-granddaughters, Maddie and Alta; nephew, Gary Williams and niece Dereda Simmons.

The family wishes to express appreciation to the wonderful staff at Oakwood Senior Living and 3rd Central at Physicians Regional Medical Center for their compassion and loving care.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at Lynnhurst Cemetery on Saturday, September 30 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Dr. Randy Frye officiating. The family suggest those who wish to remember Virl through a memorial make a gift to Fountain City United Methodist Church, 212 Hotel Road, Knoxville, TN 37918.     Virl,you and Larry Herman were my best friends when I lived in the Condo.we went out to eat at different places, and you and I had Shopping days, mostly at the Mall. I have missed those since I moved up here,but it’s better that I’m close to Jim and Teresa. I love you Viirl and will miss you as long as I live. Bye my Friend.
