Sharon Cole Barnard (Sign Guestbook)

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Sharon Cole Barnard, our loving and devoted mother and friend.
Sharon Barnard, age 61, of Knoxville TN, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on Friday, May 31 2019, at her home.
She was born January 18,1958 to the late Wayne Cole (father) and survived by Jo Ann Trice (mother) and Lonnie Trice (stepfather) in Knoxville, where she was raised and educated, a graduate of Powell High School, Class of 1976.
Sharon had two children with former husband and friend Richard Barnard; loving mother of Charisma Stinnett and Lindsay Maples. Proud grandmother of Charisma and Todd Stinnett’s children; Tanner, Nicholas, Madison, Shelby, Benjamin and Elijah Stinnett. Lindsay and John Maples children; Madeleine and Connor Maples.
Devoted sister to Molly and Mary; Brothers Curtis and Joe.
Sharon will be remembered fondly as a fighter and survivor with a gentle spirit who cherished those around her. Her faith was unshakeable and even til the end, she proclaimed that God was faithful. The verse she continuously read and gave her comfort was Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth”
Sharon was very creative and enjoyed all artistic outlets such as painting, drawing and writing. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved to decorate her house with every season change. One of the many ways Sharon shown her love was by baking family birthday cakes, using her grandmothers France’s recipes. She enjoyed staying in her comfy home watching Judge Judy or a black and white movie on Turner Classics station. She loved to garden and work puzzles; however, her greatest joy and passion were her grandchildren.
At Sharon’s request, no services will be held. She was asked to be laid to rest beside her grandmother Frances Black who had a huge impact on her life. Our family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and condolences for our beloved Sharon Cole Barnard. She will be sorely missed…
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” Ecclesiastes 12:7

I sure am going to miss seeing her at Madeleine’s birthday parties and any other time I could get with her. Lindsay and Charisma, you guys were so lucky to have her as your mother as you well know.
