Rebecca Jean Payne (Sign Guestbook)

Rebecca Jean Payne, of Knoxville, TN, born April 20, 1985 to Gilbert and Arlene Payne died early morning on May 14, 2018. Becca had such a sweet soul. With a big smile on her face, she was always ready to help others. Her love of music and dancing was contagious and shared with many of her siblings and friends. She leaves behind a huge family that will miss her terribly. Though she may say as she often did that she was “too smart for her own good” and that “it is what it is,” we will choose to remember and celebrate the best of who she was. Rest in peace sweet Becca. A celebration of life gathering for family and friends will be held on June 9th, 2018 from 3:00-5:30 p.m. in the Concourse room of the International located at 940 Blackstock Ave, Knoxville, TN 37921. Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Payne family and invites you to sign the online registry below.

Thinking of you all during this trying time. Becca was such a sweet soul and too young to go so soon. There are no words that can take away the pain of her passing, only the reassurance of seeing her again when our time rolls around. So many comments mention her smile and it is so evident in the photos and posts of her I have seen. She will never be forgotten by those who were honored to know her and receive one of those precious smiles. Hold on to one another and remember her with a smile through your tears.

I grew up with the Payne family, in the same neighborhood. We spent our summers at the pool and always had so much fun. They (Becca, Danielle and Jessica) were such a great joy in my childhood. I am so sorry for this family, especially Arlene. I know what it’s like to lose a child and nothing in the world is worse. You all are in my thoughts.
