Perry Holt Sr. (Sign Guestbook)

Perry David Holt of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully with family by his side the evening of September 5th 2018.  He was born February 15th 1959 in Loudon Tennessee. Dave was survived by wife Frankie Holt of Knoxville, son Perry Holt of Knoxville, son and daughter in law Lee and Nikki Holt of Madisonville, Stepdaughter Maggie Hedge of Loudon, step grandchildren, Jagger Ziglar of Madisonville, Samantha and Christina Hedge of Loudon, parents Donald and Faye Holt of Loudon, sister and brother in law Jaime and Mike McCallie of Philadelphia, nephew and wife Charles and Callie McCallie of Maryville, nephew Brian McCallie of Lenoir City, great niece Scarlett McCallie of Maryville and numerous cousins and extended family and friends

Dave “Turtle” was a very colorful man with a sense of humor matched by no one. He grew up in Loudon County Tennessee.  In his younger years he was a pilot and was a member of an elite waterski team that only met under the cover of a dark summer night. Dave was a very active member at Powell Church in Powell Tennessee. Dave loved his family and was very proud of them. He bragged on them as often as he could and would refer to them as Perry the nurse, Lee the Marine, and Maggie the teacher.  He always had a story to tell whether it was fact or fiction and his motto was, “If you’re gonna tell one, tell a big one!” A service celebrating his life will be held at Powell Church at a later date. Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Holt family and invites you to view and sign the online registry below.
