Myra L. Nine (Sign Guestbook)

Myra Lou (Creswell) Nine, age 80 of Fountain City, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 27, 2017 due to complications from surgery. She was a member of Fountain City United Methodist Church and the Christian Homebuilders Sunday School Class. Myra retired after 18 years as administrative assistant and office manager of the Arlington District office of The United Methodist Church in Northern Virginia, but her main focus and interest was always her home and family. She was the special prayer warrior for her family.

Myra was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 52 years, Robert Nine; parents, Harold and Helen Creswell; and loving sisters, Betty Benson and Cherrie Turner. She is survived by her daughters, Lexi Gaber and husband David, Marci Villanueva; son, Rob Nine and wife Donna; grandchildren, J.D. Gaber, Kelsey Katchmark and husband Stephen, Alex Villanueva, Jason Scott and wife Kerri, Jaime Gray and husband Brian; great-grandchildren, Landon Gray and Peyton Katchmark; brother, Dick Creswell and wife Pat; special nieces and nephews and other extended family;  and many special friends including Barbara Rogers, Dixie Bopp and Roz Irwin.

The family will Receive Friends at Fountain City United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 30th from 6-7pm, with the Funeral Service to follow. Rev. Randy Frye and Rev. John Gargis will officiate. We will gather at Greenwood Cemetery for a Graveside Service on Sunday, October 1st at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Fountain City United Methodist Church.     My husband and I would like to express our sincere sympathy to the family and friends of your beloved Myra. Although we hadn’t had the opportunity to meet Myra personally, we would like to share with you comfort we have experienced from Gods word found in 2 Corinthians 1:3,4. Our Heavenly Father is truly a wonderful God of comfort, he is always there for the broken hearted and those crushed in spirit…… ( Psalm 34:18 ) Please take a few moments, share your memories with those who surround you, may they bring you comfort and peace as you begin to heal.     Through her daughter Lexi, friends in Northern Virginia came to know Mrs. Nine. We saw how her life was dedicated to love which was first for her family but extended to all. Even the smiles in her photos were life giving!
    We grieve her loss with her family and also give thanks to God for her many years .

    Oh Myra where do I start….we had so much fun camping, square dancing and just being friends…we go way back to the early 1970’s in Albuquerque, NM…..and your famous Coke Cola Slaw always served in Coke Cola Bowl…. camping and all the kids riding the motor bikes…so much fun…we will all do it agin someday together until then RIP my dear Friend…Love Ya…?❤️?❤️?❤️?❤️?❤️

    My deepest sympathies Marci, Lexi and Rob. How I loved your mom, so many memories from the early teen years spending half my time at your house. I still make several Christmas candies every year that were your mothers and quickly adopted into Wilks family additions. My mind is being flooded with so many wonderful memories of your sweet mom, from her passion of sunbathing in the back yard to her amazing style, my hearts breaks for you, hugs and prayers
