Helen Faye Boring Temple (Sign Guestbook)

Helen Faye Boring Temple, age 92, passed away on December 21, 2018. Helen accepted Jesus as her Savior at an early age. She was a longtime member of Fountain City United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Friendly Endeavor Sunday School Class. Helen graduated in the class of 1944 from Central High School, then graduated in 1948 from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Physical Education and Health, which she taught at Clinton High School. She was a room mother at Fountain City Elementary for many years; concessions committee member at Fountain City Ball Park; winner of her 8th grade spelling bee; baker of bunny, heart, and cream filled cupcakes, maker of play costumes such as the chicken, duck, black bird, and bunny; member of the Fountain City Sportsmen’s Club at Norris Lake; hostess of many Thanksgivings, Christmases, birthday parties and sleepovers. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors in both Knoxville and Naples, FL, where they resided in the winters. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Boring and Daisy York Boring; siblings, Dan Y. Boring, Louise Boring Tindell, and Betty Jo Boring Kelly; granddaughter, Tiffany Rose. She is currently loved by her husband of 67 years, Bob Temple; children, Rob Temple and wife, Sandy, Linda Temple Wise and husband, Steve, Ginger Temple Baxter and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Brad Rose, Anne Kann, Janie Thompson, Liz Baxter-Stanczyk, Jennifer Reynolds, Joe Baxter, and John Baxter; 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. The family would like to especially thank caregiver Angela Hauschildt. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 6 P.M. Wednesday, December 26th at Fountain City United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Ballard and The Rev. Dr Randy Frye officiating. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fountain City United Methodist Church.     Dear sweet Helen. How your gift will live on forever. You were always sweet and kind. I remember you so fondly working with my dad at all your homes.
