Frederick Raymond “Ray” Buechler III (Sign Guestbook)

Frederick Raymond “Ray” Buechler III age 48, of Sevierville, TN passed away on July 29, 2019.

Ray was born in Salem County, NJ. He lived in Pinnsville and played the saxophone in the Pennsville Memorial High School Band. He loved riding his dirt bike. He moved to Sevier County in 1987. Ray enjoyed skiing, fishing and swimming in Douglas Lake with his young sons. He desired to be a chef, loved cooking and was a professional waiter in Sevier County restaurants for 25 years. He became a realtor and sold Time Shares and was awarded a Plaque for Excellence that was engraved “Everyday Ray” for selling one unit every day. He moved to Crossville, TN in 2004 where he waited tables. He later returned to Sevierville and enjoyed time with his bearded dragons. He liked to play pool and cards, was an avid UT Football fan, and a grand master bungie jumper.

He is survived by his sons, Raymond Kelcey Buechler of Knoxville, TN, Kody Buechler of Maryville, TN, Private First Class Kyle Buechler, Army active duty, State of Washington; mother, Sandra Clark Keaton of Port Richey, FL; sister, Vickie (Jason) Wilde of Salem, NJ; sister, Courtney Walhen- Gilroy (Harold); nephew, Ricky; brother, Chief Warrant Officer Richard Price Clark III retired Coast Guard and fiancé Jessica Smith, their children, Chloe, Tristan, and Zebley Foster; sister, Kimberly (Jim) David of Delaware; nephews, Jason Wilde III, Jimmy David; nieces, Bethany Wilde, Maddy David; uncles, Cletus (Sharon) Keaton of FL, Richard (Donna) Buechler of NJ; aunt, Nancy (David) Walters; cousins, Rachel, Sara, Katie, Laura, Molly, Danny (Katrina) Poeta of NC, Rocky Poeta of Delaware, Brynn, Robbie; aunt, Tina Danaz-Buechler of Delaware; cousins, Austin, Hunter and Avery;  girlfriend, Tosha Causby; friends, Derrick Whaley, Jerry Crawford, Al Scheele, Jerry Richards, Marcy Jackson, Valerie Barker, Ray and Rena Snow, Brecque Exposito; dog, Buster; cat, Charlie; and any other friends or family that cared for Ray, thanks to you all.

Ray is preceded in death by his second father, Richard Price Clark Jr. Vietnam Army Veteran; first father, Frederick Raymond Buechler Jr. Vietnam Marines Veteran; grandfather, Buster Keaton; grandmother, Lourie Keaton; grandfather, Frederick Raman Buechler; grandmother, Blanche Buechler; uncle, Jackie Buechler; aunt, Diane Poeta Keaton; pets, Max, Dusty, and Pupper.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00pm on Sunday August 11, 2019 at Wear Farm City Park (623 Wears Valley Road, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863). David and Nancy Walters will be officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow with a potluck lunch. Please bring a dish and your own beverages.

    Sure am sad to hear of Rays passing. Ray was a great friend in our youth. We used to fish in Gardners pond and go sledding all winter long. Sure do have some fond memories of making Sandy laugh and terrorizing Vickie! Love to all of you as Ray was one of a kind.
