Charles Frank “Chick” Kryder, 84, of Knoxville, TN died peacefully at his home on November 28, 2018.  He was born January 6, 1934 in Conway, PA and was a long-time resident of both New Sewickley Township and Freedom, PA.

After relocating to Knoxville in 1997, Chick became a devoted volunteer at University of Tennessee Medical Center and served as a Deacon and greeter at Fountain City Presbyterian Church.

Chick was preceded in death by his parents Cliff and Ruth Kryder;  brother, Greg and a nephew, Scott Sprague.

He is lovingly remembered by Suzanne, his devoted wife of 62 years;  brother, Dale and wife Marilyn;  sister-in-law, Gretchen Sprague and husband Charles (Chuck); sister-in-law, Sue Kryder; son, Denver and wife Nancy; daughter, Amy Sue Garcia and husband Don; nieces and nephews, Scarlet Sprague and husband Brian, Greg, Danny and Michael Kryder, Crystal Meyers and husband Josh, Kim Kramer and husband Brian; grandchildren, Justin Grimm and wife Holly, Charles (Chase) Grimm, Matthew Kryder, Ellen Kryder, Hunter Grimm and Hope Woody; and great-grandchildren, Levi, Brayden and Kylie.

A memorial service will be held at Fountain City Presbyterian Church on Friday, December 7th, 2018 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Gradye Parsons officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Fountain City Presbyterian Choir Scholarship Fund.
