Carol S. Katcham Boyd (Sign Guestbook)

Carol Sue Katcham Boyd age 80, passed away at Beverly Park Place Health and Rehab, September 2, 2019. She was born in Johnson City on April 19, 1939 and was the daughter of Willard and Bessie Katcham. Carol was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and dear friend to all who knew her. Carol was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for Tennessee Asphalt Company for many years. She was an exceptional seamstress and took pride in her work.

Carol is survived by her three children, Randy Lyle and wife Diane of Knoxville, Jeff Lyle and wife Dawn of Johnson City, Katie Welch and husband Ralph of Knoxville; brother, Larry Katcham and wife Paula of Knoxville; sister, Betsy and husband Gary Shaw of Johnson City; grandchildren, Allen Mayes, Joe Mayes, Jessica Yow, Jennifer Lyle, Adam Lyle, Amanda Welch Cripe, Adam Welch, Zach Williams; great grandchildren, David Mayes III, Ashley Livingston, Julie Wallace, Tyler Mayes, JT Wallace, Breanna Mayes, Isaiah Yow, Noah Yow, Kolsen Lyle, Ethan Cripe, Caden Cripe, Lauren Cripe; great-great granddaughter, Lilly Livingston.

The family will have a private Celebration of Life in Johnson City. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in Carol’s name to Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc. (Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc.     My Dear Katie…. I am forever blessed and grateful for knowing her, and being able to be a part of her life. Not one memory will be taken for granted. No doubt God put me beside her for a reason and I am so thankful for the fellowship with her and you over the past year and half. My time with her may have been brief…. but it was priceless!!!
