Nola M. (St. John) Lehman

Nola M. Lehman, 86, loving wife, Mother, and Grandmother, passed away peacefully April 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Nola was born on July 27, 1937, in Byron, OH to Lowell and Velma St. John. She received her cosmetology license in 1956 and retired as an Administrative Assistant from Philips Magnavox.
In 1955, she met Marty Lehman and the two were inseparable from that point on.  Married in 1958, they were married for over 64 years, prior to Marty’s passing in 2018 and had one child, Chad Lehman. 
Nola was a loving and dedicated Mom, Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend to all.  Nola was an exemplary Mother/Grandmother and human being.  She embodied the best qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in every action she took in life.  Family came first above all else to Nola, a value instilled in all those around her.  A frustrated chef who always had enough food on hand to feed a large crowd at a moment’s notice.  She loved to entertain, attend church, and always welcomed all to her home for conversation and friendship with no judgment. Nola was big hearted, vibrant, a radiant light.  She accepted everyone with an open heart, open arms, and a perpetual smile.    
Nola is preceded in death by her husband, Marty (2018) and beloved sister, Ila and brothers, Robert and Russell. She is survived by her son, Chad (Hether) Lehman; grandchildren,Chase Lehman, Morgan Lehman, Janie Lehman, and Taylor Lehman; honorary son, Brian Miller; sister, Lila Ridlen; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved furbabies.
Her departure comes as a great loss to all that knew her, but we are comforted in knowing she has gained her much deserved angel wings and is in Heaven with her beloved Marty dancing in the clouds.
A celebration of life for Nola & Marty Lehman will be held on Saturday April 27, 2024, from 11am-2p at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel at 5301 Fountain Rd. Knoxville TN 37918.  Light refreshments of some of Nola’s most famous foods will be served in her honor.
