S. Leslie Crowder (Sign Guestbook)

Sheridan Leslie “Big John” Crowder, age 70 of Knoxville passed away on October 9, 2017.  Leslie was a wonderful brother, uncle and friend who was caring and loved his family. He will always be remembered for being there for his family and kind and helpful to anyone in need.  He grew up in the Arminda Community and graduated Holston High School in 1965.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Burnis Crowder and mother Hazel Loy. Leslie is survived and will be deeply missed by his sisters, Sherlyn Lee Crowder Hendricks, Laurel Jeanette Crowder Gilbert; brother, Winston Herman Crowder; nieces and nephews, Christina Lay (Shaun), Amy McCubbin (David Shope), Laura Bohanan (Bryan Franks), Christopher Sheppard (Liz), Elizabeth Sheppard; one great-nephew; three great-nieces; and several cousins and other extended family.

The family is planning to celebrate his life in a family-directed Memorial Service at New Life United Methodist Church on Friday, October 13th at 2pm. Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel and Crematory is honored to serve the Crowder family and invites you to view and sign their online guestbook below.
