Ronnie D. Courtney (Sign Guestbook)

Ronnie Dean Courtney went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2017 at the age of 80. He was a US Army veteran, a retired salesman with a great sense of humor, and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Ella Courtney; son, Richard Courtney; brother, Paul “Bud” Courtney; and sisters, Joann Rector and Mildred Garrett. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Ruth Courtney; sons, Robert Courtney, Michael Courtney and wife Jennifer; daughters, Bonnie-Jo Mullins and husband Curtis, Helen Ward and husband Dallas; brother, Cecil Courtney; sister, Patsy Courtney; grandchildren, Courtney Manis and husband Jeremy, Kate Wormsley and husband Lee, Devina Delph and husband Anthony, Andrew Courtney and wife Erika, Austin Gordon, Maggie Courtney, Bo & Evey; great-grandchildren, Adi Wormsley, Eli Wormsley, and Jordan Manis; and several extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, August 18th from 5-6:45 pm at Dante Baptist Church. The Funeral will follow at 7 pm, with Rev. Lee Murphy officiating. We will meet at Bookwalter Cemetery on Saturday, August 19th for the Graveside Service at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to be Dante Baptist Church Building Fund, 314 Brown Drive, Knoxville, TN.
