Minnie J. Bowman (Sign Guestbook)

Minnie Jane Bowman, born Oct 31, 1934 in Marion NC, recently passed on to her next adventure.

Minnie received her BA from Baylor University and her masters from Memphis University in classical rhetoric.  She continuously taught others whether in the classroom as an elementary school teacher, an instructor at University of Tennessee and Pellisippi State, or a consultant in public speaking preparation for TVA board members.  Minnie taught anyone she met about life lessons.

Minnie Bowman always told a good story.  Her life in fact is an entertaining story.  She was an avid motorcyclist.  She loved her Lady Vols.  She always enjoyed two wheels under her.  When two were not possible, you would find her RVing to her next adventure, a story telling event or to the Pueblo in Arizona. Minnie Bowman lived in gratitude for all who regularly saved her life and struggled with her worrisome choices.   I believe the Divine wasn’t ready and regularly postponed her face to face with  this Mrs. Pot’s Pit story teller, Biker Babe, she who was kicked out of Disney world for Zipping on her scooter, Ms. Minnie Jane.

Minnie’s friends will celebrate her life privately as she wished. Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel & Crematory invites you to view and sign her online guestbook below.

  3. Corinne S Smith says:

Minne Jane not only told the most delightful story, she had the most delightful twinkle in her eyes and an Elven smile. She was the same when she was riding a Harley as she was 39 years later when she was finally confined to home. She went to Assisted Living so she could go to sleep and go on to her next ride. May the wind blow lightly on your shoulders, Minnie!
Will see you on the Other Side!!
