Kathleen Gardner Leno (Sign Guestbook)

Kathleen Gardner Leno, 95, completed her transition to heaven on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, finally meeting Jesus face to face. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Edward and Ellen Wright Gardner; five siblings: Ruth Grogg, Fred Gardner, Edith Mack, Esther Hoffman, and John Gardner; and husband, George Edward Leno. Born in Toronto, Canada, Mrs. Leno lived most of her life in St. Petersburg, Florida, and was an active member of Suncoast Cathedral. She moved to Tennessee six years ago to be closer to her children: Anne Yvonne Martin (Arch) of Powell and Douglas Wesley Keith (Joanie) of Chuckey. She attended Redemption Church.  Mrs. Leno is also survived by five grandchildren, Amy Pettit (Michael), Susan Martin, John Adam Martin (Michelle), David Keith (Charity), and Brian Keith; six great-grandsons, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Wesley, Brandon, Jameson, and Preston; and other extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 9 from 11am-1pm. Mrs. Leno will be interred privately at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida. In lieu of flowers, please send a contribution to Young Williams Animal Center or a favorite charity. Special thanks to the staff and residents of The Courtyards Senior Living, Orchards Building, for making the last few months of her life full of activities, fun and hymn-singing.     Congratulations, Aunt Kathleen. You reached your goal in life. You made it to Paradise and I am sure you have seen the face of Jesus. We will miss you terribly here on earth, but we know for sure you are ever so happy being reunited with your loved ones once again.
