Heather L. Scott (Sign Guestbook)

Heather Lynne Scott, beautiful wife, loving mother and great daughter, sister and friend, passed away on July 5, 2017 at the age of 46 following a valiant battle with cancer. Heather was a pediatric Nurse Practitioner who loved and gave generously to anyone blessed enough to be in her path. She will always be remembered for her ability and willingness to help others and her kind smile.

Heather was preceded in death by her fathers, John Owen Scott and Lynn McClellan, and brother-in-law, Jason Solomon. She is survived and will be forever missed by her devoted husband, Shaun C. Solomon; son, Parker Owen Dillard; mother, Judy Ray and husband Pat Rae; sister, Dawn Marie Holmes;  niece and nephew, Ethan William and Georgia Bailee Holmes; father-in-law, Dennis Solomon; step-mother-in-law, Connie Solomon; step-father-in-law, Len Haithcock; and several other extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will held at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 7th at 7 pm. The family will Receive Friends beginning at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in Heather’s memory.     I have been blessed to have know Heather for almost two decades. She will always be be a part of my heart and soul. We came together at a time when we I believe we needed each other the most. We walked together for what seems a lifetime. We lived a lifetime of joy together. I choose to carry theses precious memories with me. She will be missed, but I know she will always be a part of me. We were more than friends. We were survivors. We laughed, cried, and lived life together. I a cannot imagine what me life would have been like without her in it. I pray for her family and friends that they may be at a place of peace as knowing this beautiful soul is in a joyful place.     Heather you were such a great friend. I will always remember the times in high school You, me, Julie, Chris and Jay would go out around oak Mtn. lake. I think of you every time I here the song Cocomo by the Beach Boys. You will be missed. Rest in the arms of God.
